This Typica and Bourbon is one of our favourites from the state of Aragua. Hacienda La Unión is part of the mother project called "Casa de Paya" which is a large finca that is dived into smaller farms including La Unión, and each managed by a different coffee farmer.
This amazing coffee is brews great in espresso based drinks and works perfectly with milk.
Origin: Venezuela, Hacienda La Unión - Mariño, Aragua State.
Casa de Paya is a community-driven coffee project led by producer Leopoldo Yanes in the mountains of Venezuela. The larger finca is divided into several smaller farms, including La Luisa, San José, and La Palma, each managed by members of the local community.
Following a difficult period in the farm’s history, Leopoldo and his family chose collaboration over conflict, integrating local families into the project and creating a model that allows producers to directly benefit from the coffees they cultivate.
