So, looks like you came out to represent...
Now to give you some context, this is the exact sentence that ended our last blog post:
"We will keep you in the loop, but continue to keep us in the loop by pinging across those amazing connections! The hunt for Maracaibo's is on for 2025…"
And...well you certainly did, but lets catch up first :)
Since we last spoke we have:
Become the house bean, currently with Ronald Pantin, Aragua, at the mighty La Bodega Glasgow - www.cortado.co.uk - (brilliant website domain by the way). In all honesty, we are planning to do a blog post just on them at one point, and their ongoing commitment to Venezuelan food - they have certainly been insane patrons of ours since our conception and are unfaltering in there support.
We went to London Coffee Festival which was an experience.
We set up our micro roastery operation to be a little bit more refined, now roasting almost all beans on a small batch Coffee Tech FZ94 - this just gives us unapparelled control over the process which is what we have been looking for.
We have sent beans everywhere from Barcelona to Brunei, although international shipping is still a mountain we are climbing and we are hoping we have some updated on that for you soon.
We are proud to be serving our Hermanos Zambrano from Merida out of the beautiful KitchenSW, linked with the mighty Chef Ka's Streatham Kitchen.
And we are also over the moon to be suppling our friends over at Mayoy Cacao with both house bean and retail coffee to partner with his award winning chocolate.
But behind the scenes, we have been working on some other things, which take us back to those connections you were getting for us. Safe to say, we made a few, and our latest chapter of the Maracaibos Chronicles hits at the beginning of a new Venture: The Guayoyo Coffee Club. You can find more information on it over at our Guayoyo CC page, but safe to say, we have some insane brews lined up for those of you lucky enough to secure a spot - as things are pretty limited.
It's safe to say, we like the downtime, but the hunt for Maracaibos never ends, and 2025 is going to be our biggest year yet, all thanks to you guys - keep in touch! and if you are reading this on the 04/07-06/06, then enjoy free delivery Panas!
